Westfalia laid the foundations for the many different models and manufacturers of camping models with everyday practicality that exist today with the launch of the T1 buses. After the T1, a concept was implemented in the T2 which is still valid today in almost the same form. The Westfalia equipment of the Joker can still be found today in principle 1 to 1 in the T4 California and currently in the T5 and T6. Today, the classic van is a very affectionate companion that attracts the attention of passers-by more than any super sports car of modern times. You will inevitably find yourself in more or less meaningful conversations about the car with passers-by or campsite guests. But despite all the nostalgia, the Westfalia Camper is a fully-fledged vacation companion. The utility value is exactly the same as that of a modern T5, i.e. 4 beds, kitchen, fridge etc. are just as available for a vacation. Unfortunately, many good examples no longer exist and the extensively restored Bulli’s remain with their owners. Today, the well-preserved remaining vehicles achieve a rapid increase in value that even their air-cooled colleagues from Zuffenhausen cannot keep up with. A very beautiful and, as an unrestored T3, a now rare camper in the popular Joker variant. The vehicle was registered in southern Italy until recently, but has certainly never been driven much in everyday life, but was purely a vacation or leisure car. As a result, the Bulli has hardly seen any bad weather or salt and the bodywork is in exceptionally good, as far as can be seen, unwelded condition and has no edge rust or other recognizable major corrosion. From now on at the latest, this car is unique and ennobled as a collector’s vehicle with an H license plate with a guaranteed increase in value. The paintwork was renewed in the original color due to unavoidable scratches, small dents and fading and shines beautifully. The original interior is well maintained with no major defects. A likeable Bulli that causes a positive stir wherever it goes and is perfect for the next Creme 21 or for a vacation trip wherever you go. We can hardly imagine a better utility value for a classic car. The 50 hp may not tear out trees, but it is economical and decelerating. It drives faster than you might expect, and here the quote ”The journey is the destination” is more to the point than with almost any other classic car. In this condition and with this equipment, it is certainly hard to find and a safe investment with a high utility/fun value. Of course, the Bulli already has a full inspection with H-approval, valid until 12/2025. In addition, the car has had a major service with a timing belt change and new tires. Please take your time to look at the picture gallery with all the detailed photos and you will agree with us that only a completely newly restored T3 can look even better, but then it is no longer original and has cost twice as much. Regarding the mileage, this is only read off, because unfortunately you can no longer track the total mileage. And by the way!
